These Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy (“Terms”) apply to the Trikdis website (trikdis.com) and to all Trikdis mobile and web applications, including Protegus, Protegus 2, and any other application, platform, or service provided by UAB „Trikdis“ (together, the “Services”). By visiting our website or using any Trikdis application, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Part 1 — Terms and Conditions of Use

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing our website, or by downloading, installing, or creating an account in Protegus, Protegus 2, or any other Trikdis application, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or applications.

3. License to Use Our Applications

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Protegus, Protegus 2, and other Trikdis applications for the purpose of monitoring and controlling your compatible Trikdis security equipment. We do not sell our applications to you; we remain the owner of the application at all times, and no ownership rights transfer to you by downloading or using it.

4. License Restrictions

You must not:

• copy, modify, or create derivative works based on any Trikdis application;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any Trikdis application, except where permitted by applicable law;
• rent, lease, sublicense, loan, translate, merge, adapt, or distribute any Trikdis application;
• remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices on any Trikdis application;
• use any Trikdis application in any unlawful manner or in breach of these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use of Our Website and Applications

You must not use our website or applications:

• in any way that breaches applicable local, national, or international law or regulation;
• to transmit or send unsolicited advertising or promotional material;
• to knowingly transmit data or upload material containing viruses or other harmful code;
• to attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers, systems, or networks;
• in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our website, applications, or services, or interfere with any other party’s use of them.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in our website, our applications (including “Trikdis”, “Protegus”, and “Protegus 2” names, logos, and trademarks), and the material published on them. Hardware products purchased from us are covered by their own applicable warranty terms, provided separately.

To the extent permitted by law, Trikdis will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or any loss of data, arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, our website or applications – including any interruption to security monitoring or alert delivery – except where such loss arises from our gross negligence or willful misconduct, or cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website and applications may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g. app stores, payment providers). We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content or privacy practices of any third-party sites.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to any Trikdis application if you breach these Terms. You may stop using our applications and delete your account at any time; see Section 9 of Part 2 below regarding your data protection rights on account deletion.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lithuania.

Part 2 — Privacy Policy

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data through our website (trikdis.com) and through our applications, including Protegus, Protegus 2, and any other application or service we provide. We use one shared set of data-handling practices across all Trikdis products, so this single policy applies wherever you interact with us.

• Messages, inquiries, and support requests
• Job application materials
• Account and sign-in information when you register in Protegus, Protegus 2, or another Trikdis application (including via Google or other third-party sign-in)
• Configuration information you enter into Protegus / Protegus 2 to manage your compatible security equipment (e.g. device and zone names, user lists)

Information collected automatically:

• IP address
• Device and browser information
• Website usage data
• App usage data, device identifiers, and push-notification tokens, used to deliver alerts and notifications through Protegus and Protegus 2

4. How We Use Your Information

We process your data to:

• respond to your inquiries;

• operate core application functionality, including delivering real-time security alerts and notifications through Protegus and Protegus 2;
• improve our website, applications, and services;

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data on the basis of: your consent; the necessity of processing to perform our contract with you (e.g. to provide the Protegus / Protegus 2 service you signed up for); compliance with our legal obligations; and our legitimate interest in operating and improving our business.

6. Data Sharing

We only share your data when necessary, with parties such as hosting and cloud infrastructure providers, IT service providers, analytics services (e.g. Google), push-notification services (e.g. Apple, Google) needed to deliver Protegus / Protegus 2 alerts, and communication tools. All such partners are required to protect your data and to comply with GDPR. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7. International Data Transfers

Some of our partners may operate outside the European Economic Area. Where this is the case, we implement appropriate safeguards to protect any personal data transferred.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

• Support data: up to 5 years
• Job candidates: up to 24 months
• Protegus / Protegus 2 account and configuration data: for as long as your account remains active, and for a limited period afterward to allow account recovery and to meet legal obligations

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; restrict or object to processing; request data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. 12. Email Communications / Mailing List

If you submit a form on our website (e.g. contact form, product inquiry, or download request), become a Trikdis customer through a purchase, or create an account in a Trikdis application – including Protegus, Protegus 2, or another Trikdis mobile or web application – your email address may be added to our mailing list. All Trikdis products and applications share a single mailing list, so regardless of how many Trikdis apps or services you use, you will only ever receive one set of communications from us, never duplicate emails from different products.

We only send emails that are directly related to our products and services, including:

• Service and maintenance notifications (e.g. planned system or app downtime, including for Protegus and Protegus 2)
• Product updates and informational announcements (e.g. new features or changes to Protegus, Protegus 2, or other Trikdis products)

We do not send unrelated promotional content, and we do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes. Sending frequency is low – we only email when there is relevant, product-related information to share.

You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in any email we send, or by contacting us at info@trikdis.lt. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

We may update these Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our website or applications after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
